9:30am to 10:30am - Brunch | 10:40am to 11:30am - 2 sessions (Rebecca Barancik & Lisa Starks) | 11:40am to 12:40pm - Keynote: Judge Mike Allen | Sunday Morning University begins at 9:30 with a lavish hot & cold buffet shared by congregants of our SMU partner synagogue, Congregation B’nai Israel. Then, hear Rebecca Barancik’s theory about what Maimonides’ thoughts on environmental issues might be or Lisa Starks’ notions of a “Jewish Shakespeare” and his influence on Yiddish theater. Complete your morning by learning how Federal Judge Mike Allen has adjusted to living and working in Washington, D.C. Registration will be required and will be open beginning in mid-December.

Join Temple Beth-El and Temple B’nai Israel for PURIM CON: a super Purim celebration! Start the evening hearing a Megillah Rap performed by your very own TBE congregants, and then move on to something only found in a comic book! With an energetic DJ, dancing, games, food, and a costume contest (registration required), this is sure to be an event you don’t want to miss. Open and welcoming to celebrants of all ages!
