Alexis Kelly

Alexis brings a decade of teaching experience and was once a student at the Raymund Family Religious School. She was very active at Temple Beth-El growing up, and is ecstatic to be welcomed back into the community to continue the religious and Hebrew education for the next generation.

Alexis graduated from St. Petersburg College in 2016 with her Bachelor's degree in Education, Elementary K-6. Over the last 10 years, she has worked in schools in Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties with both neurotypical and special needs learners. Alexis has developed a deep appreciation for the transformative power of education. She enjoys supporting students in their learning journey and states that it is the most meaningful accomplishment for educators and families, and it fosters a sense of pride and joy in their child’s achievements.

Alexis credits her excitement and desire to return to Temple Beth-El to her childhood years that were spent attending Shabbat services, partaking in Religious and Hebrew School Kindergarten through Confirmation, being an active member of BEEFY, attending URJ Camp Coleman as both a camper and staff, participating in her Birthright trip to Israel, and volunteering on Israeli farms affected by
the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

Outside of the classroom, Alexis enjoys traveling, eating good food, and hiking new trails. She has two dogs, Kayne and Kanyon, who always keep life fun, furry,
and full of love.
